More about Barney Blalock, Portland, Oregon Web DesignSince you have clicked the leaf, I assume you would like to know more about Barney Blalock, Portland, Oregon web design services. You see the leaf was hiding all of this infosort on like Adam and Evefor the sake of modesty, not wanting to look like I was blowing my own horn too loud. This neat little trick helps keep my site free from ugly text and still provides plenty of text for Google to see. Google loves text. And I love being found on Google. So why would I keep repeating something like "Barney Blalock, Portland, Oregon web design services"? It is simply out of desire to be found by people who are searching for me. What did Google say when asked about Barney Blalock? Search Me... ha, ha! Here is the deal, I charge $60 per hour, I work fast, and I charge in quarter hour increments. I usually hand code simple and fast-loading sites, and I love to use SWF (Flash) files for graphics because it is the only reasonable way to get vector graphics into a web browser. In browsers vector graphics are much sharper than bitmaps (JPG, GIF, or PNG) and are usually smaller files. I will often times use SWF for menus (see: www.willamette.com). I use Google Analytics to track what's happening with my major sites and have found that almost no one surfs the Internet with his or her Flash disabled. It is my opinion that web designers should not allow themselves to be hindered by trying to make their sites accessible to every paranoid deviant who is afraid of javascript and Flash. If you are one of those paradoid deviants you won't be reading this so I you won't hear this advice, but here is goes anyway: Rule number one: Never let a teenager near your computer. Rule number two: Stay away from the evil web (porno, hacker sites, etc.). Rule number three: Keep your Windows updates current. Rule number four: Use good anti virus software (like AVG) and let it update every day. I have been web mastering for about ten years now. I have seen lots of fads come and go. I have seen Mozilla get better and Internet Explorer get worse. On several occasions I have felt like hanging it all up, but there are too many people depending on me. I would rather just do my animated comedy songs and write novels, but you didn't click the leaf to hear me whine. What I would really like is about ten good corporate clients who update their large sites regularly. If you are one of those type of clients, please call me right away. I will make you, if not happy, at least very satisfied. Services I Provide:
